The Panorama Café is situated on the side of the Esztergom Basilica facing the Danube, at a height of nearly 80 metres, offering unrivalled views of Víziváros, the Danube, as well as Štúrovo in Slovakia on the opposite bank of the river along with the Mária Valéria Bridge connecting the two countries.
In the spacious café, visitors can enjoy the stunning panorama in comfortable furnishings with a drink chosen from Costa Coffee’s traditional and seasonal speciality coffes or from the varied selection of fruity drinks and lemonades. Furthermore, gourmets can also look forward to special desserts prepared all year round based on modernized 19th-century German recipes from the books: "Dishes from the Cardinal's table" and "Desserts from the Cardinal's table".
The café’s impressive interior is bathed in natural light streaming through the large, semi-circular window. The modern, minimalist décor features unique touches in the form of accessories crafted from the former copper sheets of the Basilica’s restored dome and wood from the bell frame.
The Panorama Café is easily accessible by lift, making it an ideal venue for hosting tourist groups and organising smaller, private events. The stunning surroundings, the historic atmosphere and the exceptional culinary offerings combine to make the café one of the unmissable experiences at the Esztergom Basilica.
